SSAIB Calls on Registered Firms to Register Apprentices for Engineers of Tomorrow Competition at IFSEC

SSAIB registered firms are being urged to sign their fire and security apprentices up for this year’s Engineers of Tomorrow competition at IFSEC International.

The UK security and fire skills competition for young engineers and apprentices is celebrating its 20th year this year and registration is still open for the event, which is taking place at the ExCel in London across the three days of IFSEC 2018 – Tuesday June 19 to Thursday June 21.

As well as national exposure for apprentices - and their employers - who sign up for the EoT competition, there are a host of other benefits to taking part in the contest.

Apprentices can win up to £1000 in cash for demonstrating their skills on a national platform, while also gaining credits towards their industry qualifications and industry-wide recognition. The top prizes are also awarded at the prestigious Security and Fire Excellence Awards, with places available for both the successful apprentices and their employers.

In addition to joining their winning apprentice at the Security and Fire Excellence Awards, employers backing the competition can demonstrate their commitment to apprenticeships and encourage the development of their young engineers.
