IPSA is celebrating a leadership transition as Simon Pears steps down as Chair after 11.5 incredible years of service. His visionary leadership has been instrumental in shaping IPSA into the leading voice for front-line security professionals. Simon says, "It has been an immense privilege to lead the transformation of this association, which stands as a champion for front-line security professionals. I couldn’t have achieved this without the unwavering support of a fantastic team.”
As we bid farewell to Simon in his role as Chair, we are excited to welcome John Lambert as his successor.
John brings a wealth of experience and vision, and we look forward to seeing how he will guide IPSA into the future.
John says, “Having joined IPSA as a Director at the end of 2023, I’ve been impressed at the entire board’s drive to improve conditions on the front line for security professionals, and to ensure their voices are heard. At a time when training malpractice, worker exploitation, tax evasion and wages well below minimum wage are hot discussion topics, all of which suppress the conditions and industry perception negatively for the frontline, IPSA has an important part to play in improving the situation. Those who know me know that I am incredibly passionate about stopping this rot within our industry, and therefore to step into the Chair role at this time is a proud and exciting moment. The board and I look forward to continuing the excellent work led by Simon Pears, and many others of his tenure, and each of them has our thanks.”
IPSA's CEO Satia Rai is thrilled to welcome John as Chair. Satia says, "As CEO of the International Professional Security Association (IPSA), I am thrilled to welcome John Lambert as our new Chair. IPSA is the largest and fastest-growing trade association in the UK, and John's leadership will be instrumental in supporting our continued growth. His dedication to ensuring our front-line security officers remain at the heart of everything we do will drive us forward to new heights. It’s an honour to work alongside John, and I’m confident that his appointment marks an exciting future for IPSA. Welcome to the IPSA professional family, John – we are proud to have you with us!”
