Empowering Excellence: SSAIB Celebrates Sam and Lauren's Remarkable Achievements in Marketing and Auditing

10/09/2024

Sam Ogilvie, who serves as the Marketing Assistant at SSAIB, recently completed an 18-month Marketing Assistant apprenticeship with the Oxford Professional Education Group, earning a Distinction. This comprehensive apprenticeship required Sam to demonstrate his ability to manage various aspects of marketing, including the planning and coordination of activities, budgeting principles, and conducting market research. To achieve this qualification, Sam undertook a significant project focused on organising and assessing The Fire Event at the NEC Birmingham, held in April this year. This project not only allowed Sam to apply his learning in a real-world context but also showcased his ability to handle complex marketing tasks effectively. Reflecting on his achievement, Sam expressed pride in earning the highest possible grade and noted that the apprenticeship facilitated his personal and professional development.

Meanwhile, Lauren Dunlavy, who serves as a Fire Schemes Administrator, has continued to build on her earlier achievements by completing the ISO9001 Lead Auditor Course.  This intensive five-day course covered essential topics such as business management systems, the principles of business process management, and advanced auditing techniques. With this new qualification, Lauren is now equipped to conduct audits against ISO9001 and SP205 standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices. Lauren's commitment to expanding her expertise underscores her dedication to the SSAIB's mission of maintaining high standards in fire safety and security.

Commenting on these accomplishments, SSAIB CEO Paul Phillips stated, "I am incredibly proud of Sam and Lauren for their hard work and dedication. Their achievements are a testament to SSAIB's commitment to nurturing talent and promoting excellence within our team. These new qualifications will not only benefit Sam and Lauren but will also enhance the service we provide to our clients, ensuring we continue to lead the way in the Fire & Security industry."

The new qualifications achieved by Sam and Lauren are a testament to SSAIB's commitment to professional growth and excellence. Their enhanced skills not only contribute to their personal career development but also strengthen SSAIB's capacity to deliver top-tier services to its clients, colleagues, and the wider community. Through initiatives like these, SSAIB continues to ensure that it remains at the forefront of the Fire & Security industry, providing the highest level of competence and reliability.
